About YAML
YAML expresses the same structures as JSON using indentation instead of brackets, and allows comments. It is the usual choice for configuration in tools like Docker Compose, Kubernetes and GitHub Actions.
YAML's indentation rules are easy to break, and many APIs only accept JSON. YAML is easier for people to read and edit than JSON and allows comments.
