Make any file smaller, without the upload.
Your files are never uploaded. Images, video, audio, documents and PDFs are made smaller right here in your browser, and you never get back a file larger than the one you added.
Other tools delete your file after an hour, or two days. We never receive it.

Ready · any number of files · no daily limit0 bytes uploaded, ever
Looks the same to the eye.
- On your device · nothing is uploaded
- No account, no email
- Batch and ZIP download
- Never larger than the original
What each level does
- Keep quality
- Repacks the file without changing what you see or hear. The saving is modest.
- Balanced
- Looks the same to the eye, in a clearly smaller file. The right choice for most files.
- Smallest
- As small as it gets. Fine detail softens, which shows when you look closely.
Fit under a size
Forms, portals and inboxes set a limit and say no to anything over it. Type that limit under Fit under and each file is made to fit it, with as much quality as fits. The limit is per file, never for the whole batch.
The size chips are shortcuts for limits people meet most. Every size is decimal (1 MB is 1,000,000 bytes), so a file that fits here passes whichever way the other side counts.
Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your files are never uploaded: they are made smaller inside your browser, on your own phone or computer, and saved straight from this page. Other tools delete your file after an hour, or two days. We never receive it. The reading at the top of the page counts every byte sent, and it stays at 0 B.
Which files can be made smaller?
Right now: JPG, PNG, APNG, WebP, AVIF, SVG, TIFF, ICO, BMP, QOI, TGA, PPM, PGM, PBM, PAM, WBMP, HEIC, JP2, MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, WebM, TS, 3GP, F4V, AVI, WMV, MPG, M2TS, VOB, ASF, MXF, OGV, FLV, MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG, OPUS, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, WV, TTA, DOCX, PPTX, ODT, ODP, EPUB, XLSX, XLSM, ODS, ZIP, TAR, PDF, JSON, GeoJSON, TopoJSON, NDJSON, JSONL, SQLITE, STL and PLY. Drop anything else and its row says it has no smaller form yet, and offers a conversion when one would help. Formats are added here as each one passes its tests.
Will the smaller file look worse?
That depends on the level you pick. Keep quality: Repacks the file without changing what you see or hear. The saving is modest. Balanced: Looks the same to the eye, in a clearly smaller file. The right choice for most files. Smallest: As small as it gets. Fine detail softens, which shows when you look closely.
What if a file can't get smaller?
Then you get your own file back, unchanged, and its row says why: for example, that it is already as small as it gets at that level. You are never handed a file larger than the one you added.
Can I make a file fit under an exact size?
Yes. Type the limit under Fit under, or pick one of the common sizes, and each file is made to fit it with as much quality as fits. The limit is per file. If a file cannot get that small, you get the smallest version there is and its row says how far it got.
How many files can I add?
As many as you like: there is no daily limit and no sign-up. They are worked through a few at a time on your own device, so a very large file is limited by that device's memory, and a computer copes better than a phone.
