The tools
- Resize imageMake a picture the width and height you type, in pixels or as a percent of its size.
- Crop imageCut a picture down to a shape you choose, like a square or 16 to 9, or to a box you type in pixels.
- Rotate imageTurn a picture a quarter turn either way, or half a turn, and save it the right way up.
- Remove EXIF dataTake the camera details, the GPS location and the descriptions out of a picture before you send it or post it.
- Flip imageMirror a picture left to right or top to bottom, as if you held it up to a mirror or turned the page over.
- Add watermark to imageWrite a line of text on a picture, in a corner or across the middle. This adds a watermark; it does not remove one.
- Change image DPISet the print resolution stored in a JPG or PNG to 72, 96, 150, 300 or any number you type, without touching a pixel.
- Invert image colorsTurn a picture into its negative: every colour becomes its opposite, and transparency stays as it was.
- Grayscale imageTake the colour out of a picture and keep the light and dark, in a JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Add border to imagePut a plain frame around a picture: pick its width in pixels or as a share of the picture, and its colour.
- Images to PDFPut pictures in one PDF, one page each, in the order you choose. A JPEG goes in as it is.
- Combine imagesPut several pictures side by side, one above the other, or in a grid, as one picture.
- Images to GIFTurn two or more pictures into one animated GIF, with the delay, the loop and the size you choose.
- Split imageCut a picture into a grid of tiles, like the three squares of an Instagram strip, and save them all in one zip.
- Favicon generatorMake favicon.ico, an Apple touch icon and the app icons a website asks for from one picture, with the lines to paste into your page.
- Round imageRound the corners of a picture, or cut it into a circle. The corners can be see-through or any colour you pick.
- Adjust imageChange the brightness, contrast, saturation and hue of a picture and watch it change as you move the sliders.
- Resize for social mediaMake a picture the exact size a social network asks for, and choose which part of it stays in frame.
- Blur imageDraw a box over a face, a plate or a detail and hide it: blur it, pixelate it or cover it. The rest of the picture stays as it is.
- Image metadataSee what a picture says about itself: its size, the camera, the date, where it was taken and who made it.
- Compare imagesSlide between two pictures, put them side by side, or see exactly which pixels differ and by how much.
- Image color pickerClick anywhere on a picture to read its colour as HEX, RGB and HSL. You also get the average colour and the main colours as a palette.
- Print size calculatorFind the largest print a picture gives, or the pixels a print needs. Read the size from a file, or type the numbers.
- Image to Base64Turn a picture into a Base64 string, a data URI, or a ready CSS rule, HTML tag or Markdown image. Or paste Base64 and get the picture back.
- Image to textRead the text in a photo, a scan or a screenshot. Copy it, or save it as a text file.
- Upscale imageMake a picture two or four times larger, with an AI model or with plain resampling.
- Remove backgroundCut the subject out of a picture. Save it with a transparent background, or put white, black or any colour behind it.
Which one do I need?
Smaller in pixels, or smaller as a file?
Resize image changes the width and height of the picture in pixels, and the file shrinks as a result. Compress image makes the file smaller in KB or MB and picks the settings for it. If a form asks for a size in KB, that is Compress image.
Crop, resize, rotate or flip?
Crop image cuts away the parts outside a shape or a box. Resize image makes the whole picture bigger or smaller. Rotate image turns it in quarter turns, and Flip image mirrors it, which reverses writing in the picture.
Remove the location, or change the print resolution?
Remove EXIF data takes the camera details, the location and the descriptions out of a file and leaves the picture alone. Change image DPI sets the stored print resolution and leaves the pixels and everything else alone.
Add text, a frame, or change the colors?
Add watermark to image writes a line of text on the picture. Add border to image puts a plain frame around it. Invert image colors makes the negative, and Grayscale image takes the colour out and keeps the light and dark.
Questions
Are my pictures uploaded?
No. Your pictures are processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer, and saved straight from this page. The reading at the top of the page counts every byte sent, and it stays at 0 B.
Can I retouch a picture here?
No. ToAny doesn't retouch a picture or change what is in it. It does the whole-picture jobs on this page.
How big a picture can I use?
On a computer, a JPEG or a WebP of up to 40 megapixels and a PNG of up to 50, and together up to 300 MB of pictures in one run. A phone has less memory and is limited to 16 megapixels for every format. Remove EXIF data and Change image DPI never decode the picture, so they take twice as many.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account, no email and no sign-up, and the tools are free.
