How to combine images into one
Add your pictures
Drop them above or choose them. The list is the order they are placed in.
Choose the layout
Pick a row, a column or a grid, how the sizes match, the gap and the background. The line under the settings says how big the result will be.
Combine and download
Save the new picture. Your originals are untouched.
What stays and what doesn't
The result is a new picture. These are the things that do not come along to it:
- camera and capture details such as make, model and date taken
- the GPS location
- titles, authors, keywords and comments
- the small preview stored inside the file
- content credentials and edit history (C2PA)
- the embedded colour profile (colours are changed to sRGB first; very saturated colours can look slightly flatter)
- the stored print resolution
- other data stored in or after the picture, such as a motion-photo clip, program-specific blocks or a modification time
A JPEG or WebP saved again loses a little detail.
When it won't run
Two things stop a run before it writes anything, and each is said on the file's row. A file that cannot be read is reported as damaged, and a picture too large for this device says so, with the limit. In both cases nothing is changed and your original stays as it was. A file in a format the page does not take, such as a GIF, gets a sentence instead of a row.
- The picture is an animation. This tool would keep only the first frame, so it leaves the file alone.
- The picture stores its colours as CMYK. This tool can't change it without altering the colours.
- The picture stores 16 bits per colour. This tool works in 8 bits and would flatten it, so it leaves the file alone.
Combining pictures: what to expect
Auto makes a row when most of your pictures are taller than they are wide, and a column when most are wider than tall. Smallest brings every picture to the size of the smallest one, so nothing is made bigger and nothing is stretched. Largest brings them all up to the biggest, and Own size leaves them as they are and lines them up at the start, the centre or the end.
The result is a JPG, unless one of the pictures is a PNG or has transparency, and then it is a PNG. You can choose JPG, PNG or WebP yourself. A JPG has no transparency, so a transparent background becomes white. A photo taken sideways is placed the way it looks on screen.
You can combine two to thirty pictures. If the result would be bigger than your device can write, the whole layout is made a little smaller to fit and the line under the settings says so. If it would have to be much smaller, it is refused with a sentence before anything is made. To put pictures in one PDF instead, use Images to PDF.
Questions
Are my pictures uploaded?
No. Your pictures are processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer, and saved straight from this page. The reading at the top of the page counts every byte sent, and it stays at 0 B.
How do I put two photos side by side?
Add both pictures and choose Row. With Smallest, both end up at the height of the smaller one. Use Own size if you want to keep them as they are.
Does it make my pictures blurry?
Smallest only ever makes a picture smaller, never bigger. A JPG result is saved once, at about the quality of your pictures, so a small loss of detail is possible. Choose PNG for none.
Why is my result a PNG?
With Auto, a result is a PNG when one of the pictures is a PNG or has transparency, so that nothing is lost. Choose JPG or WebP to get a smaller file.
Can I put the pictures in a PDF?
Yes, with Images to PDF. It puts each picture on its own page, in the order of the list.
How many pictures can I combine?
Up to thirty. The result also has to fit your device, and a long row of large photos may be made smaller to do that.
Are the pictures sent anywhere?
No. They are read and put together on your device, and nothing is uploaded.
