About WKT

WKT writes a geometry as text, for example POINT (30 10) or POLYGON ((30 10, 40 40, 20 40, 10 20, 30 10)). Spatial databases such as PostGIS use it. It describes shape only, without names or other attributes.

WKT carries geometry only, with no names or properties. WKT is what spatial databases and GIS libraries accept as text.
