About SQL
A .sql file is a list of SQL statements: usually CREATE TABLE commands followed by INSERT statements that rebuild a database. Database dumps are written this way. SQL dialects differ between MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite and others, so a script written for one often needs edits for another.
SQL scripts target one database dialect and are not a spreadsheet. SQL imports into databases directly.
