About JSON5
JSON5 is a superset of JSON meant to be written by people. It allows comments, trailing commas, unquoted keys, single-quoted strings and a few more conveniences, so config files are easier to maintain. Standard JSON parsers reject it.
JSON5 is rejected by programs that expect plain JSON. JSON5 allows comments and trailing commas for hand-edited files.
