About MDB
MDB is the format of Microsoft Access up to Access 2003, built on the Jet database engine. It holds tables, queries, forms and reports in one file. Newer versions of Access use ACCDB, and MDB is mostly opened for migration.
MDB opens in a few Microsoft-centric tools and is a legacy format. MDB is what older Access databases are saved as.
