About FLAC
FLAC compresses audio to roughly half the size of WAV without losing anything, like a ZIP for sound. It is the standard for lossless music collections. Apple's Music app is the notable holdout.
FLAC files are large, and Apple Music, many car stereos and older players will not play them. FLAC keeps full quality at about half the size of WAV.
