How to convert CB7 to PDF

  1. Add your CB7 comic books

Drop CB7 files onto the box above, or click it to choose them. ToAny reads the file's contents to detect the type, so a wrong extension does not matter.

  2. PDF is already chosen

Press Convert. Open Options first if you want to change the defaults. The work happens in this tab.

  3. Download

Save the PDF, or download everything as one ZIP if you converted several files.

Why ToAny

  • Private by construction

The CB7 to PDF converter is part of this page and runs inside your browser. Your comic books are never sent to ToAny or to anyone else.

  • No upload, no queue

Nothing has to travel to a server and back, so the conversion starts the moment you press Convert, even on a slow connection.

  • Free, without an account

No sign-up, no email address and no watermark. Add several files and download them together as a ZIP.

CB7 to PDF: what to expect

CB7 is read by fewer comic readers than CBZ. PDF looks the same on every device and keeps several pages in one file. CB7 is at home in digital comics and manga where a smaller file matters; PDF is the usual choice for documents that must look the same everywhere, and printing.

The defaults suit most files. Under Options you can choose the page size.

A password-protected archive is refused, since its contents cannot be read without the password. Pages are put in reading order with numbers sorted as numbers (page 2 before page 10), one image per PDF page, up to 3,000 pages. Files in the archive that are not page images are ignored.

CB7 vs PDF

CB7

Comic book (7z)

A CB7 is a 7z archive of page images. 7z can pack the pages a little tighter than ZIP, but fewer comic readers support it, so it is the rarest of the three comic archive types.

Opens in Comic readers such as YACReader and Calibre; fewer than CBZ

PDF fixes a document's layout so it looks identical on every screen and printer. That makes it the default for forms, invoices and anything sent to print, and also what makes it awkward to edit.

Questions

Are my comic books uploaded anywhere?

No. The CB7 to PDF conversion runs inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The file is not sent to ToAny or to anyone else.

Is anything lost when converting CB7 to PDF?

Text is kept. Formatting carries over only as far as PDF supports it.

Can I convert several CB7 files at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like, convert them together and download each result or all of them as one ZIP.

How do I convert CB7 to PDF on Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android?

The steps are the same everywhere because ToAny runs in the web browser: open this page in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, add the CB7 file, press Convert and save the PDF. There is nothing to install.

Is there a file size limit?

Yes. An archive can be up to 500 MB, unpack to at most 1 GB and hold up to 50,000 files; beyond those limits the page says so. Beyond that the limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded; a computer copes with large files better than a phone.
