A PDF is made for reading, so its text is hard to change. This writes the words, headings, bold and italic, and pictures of each page into a DOCX that Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice open as editable text. It keeps every word but not the layout: each styled piece of text becomes a paragraph, columns become one column and a bulleted list comes out as a table. Use it to edit and reuse the content, not for a pixel-perfect copy.
The defaults suit most files. Under Options you can set or supply a password.
A password-protected PDF needs its password, entered under Options; without it the file is refused.
