How to convert EML to HTML

  1. Add your EML emails

Drop EML files onto the box above, or click it to choose them. ToAny reads the file's contents to detect the type, so a wrong extension does not matter.

  2. HTML is already chosen

Press Convert. There is nothing else to set. The work happens in this tab.

  3. Download

Save the HTML, or download everything as one ZIP if you converted several files.

Why ToAny

  • Private by construction

The EML to HTML converter is part of this page and runs inside your browser. Your emails are never sent to ToAny or to anyone else.

  • No upload, no queue

Nothing has to travel to a server and back, so the conversion starts the moment you press Convert, even on a slow connection.

  • Free, without an account

No sign-up, no email address and no watermark. Add several files and download them together as a ZIP.

EML to HTML: what to expect

An EML file is a raw email, with encoded attachments and HTML bodies that need a mail program to read. As a web page it opens in any browser and can be printed, archived or kept. Email HTML is untrusted, so what the page loads matters: remote pictures can track who reads a message.

The message is turned into an inert page: scripts, forms and remote pictures are removed (so a tracking pixel never loads), pictures embedded in the message are included, and the page carries a policy that stops a browser from loading anything else. Headers in other character sets (UTF-8, ISO-8859, ISO-2022-JP and the like) and encoded bodies and attachments are decoded. Messages up to 100 MB are accepted.

EML vs HTML

EML

E-mail message

An EML file is one email saved as plain text: headers such as From and Subject, then the body, with attachments encoded as text. The layout is the Internet message format that mail servers use. Most mail programs can open it and drag-and-drop one out of a message list.

Questions

Are my emails uploaded anywhere?

No. The EML to HTML conversion runs inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The file is not sent to ToAny or to anyone else.

Is anything lost when converting EML to HTML?

Text is kept. Formatting carries over only as far as HTML supports it.

Can I convert several EML files at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like, convert them together and download each result or all of them as one ZIP.

How do I convert EML to HTML on Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android?

The steps are the same everywhere because ToAny runs in the web browser: open this page in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, add the EML file, press Convert and save the HTML. There is nothing to install.

Is there a file size limit?

Yes. A message can be up to 100 MB; a larger one is refused with a message. Beyond that the limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded; a computer copes with large files better than a phone.
