How to convert PSD to PDF

  1. Add your PSD designs

Drop PSD files onto the box above, or click it to choose them. ToAny reads the file's contents to detect the type, so a wrong extension does not matter.

  2. PDF is already chosen

Press Convert. Open Options first if you want to change the defaults. The work happens in this tab.

  3. Download

Save the PDF, or download everything as one ZIP if you converted several files.

Why ToAny

  • Private by construction

The PSD to PDF converter is part of this page and runs inside your browser. Your designs are never sent to ToAny or to anyone else.

  • No upload, no queue

Nothing has to travel to a server and back, so the conversion starts the moment you press Convert, even on a slow connection.

  • Free, without an account

No sign-up, no email address and no watermark. Add several files and download them together as a ZIP.

PSD to PDF: what to expect

A PSD cannot be viewed by anyone without Photoshop or a compatible editor. PDF looks the same on every device and keeps several pages in one file. PSD is at home in work-in-progress designs with layers; PDF is the usual choice for documents that must look the same everywhere, and printing.

Add several files and you can also combine them into a single PDF. The defaults suit most files. Under Options you can choose the page size and set the quality.

The PSD is converted as one flattened picture, with its layers merged; files with more than 8 bits per channel are not supported yet. Each picture becomes one page. The page can match the picture's own size or be A4 or US Letter; on paper the sheet turns to suit the picture, which is shrunk to fit inside the margins and never enlarged.

PSD vs PDF

PSD

Photoshop document

PSD is Photoshop's working file: layers, masks, text and effects kept editable. It is not meant for sharing, and most people cannot open one without Photoshop or a compatible editor.

Opens in Adobe Photoshop and a few compatible editors

PDF document

PDF fixes a document's layout so it looks identical on every screen and printer. That makes it the default for forms, invoices and anything sent to print, and also what makes it awkward to edit.

Questions

Are my designs uploaded anywhere?

No. The PSD to PDF conversion runs inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The file is not sent to ToAny or to anyone else.

Is anything lost when converting PSD to PDF?

Very little: the image is placed on a PDF page at its full resolution, stored as a high-quality JPEG to keep the file small. You can raise or lower the quality under Options.

Can I convert several PSD files at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like, convert them together and download each result or all of them as one ZIP. You can also merge them into a single PDF.

How do I convert PSD to PDF on Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android?

The steps are the same everywhere because ToAny runs in the web browser: open this page in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, add the PSD file, press Convert and save the PDF. There is nothing to install.

Is there a file size limit?

Because nothing is uploaded, the practical limit is your device's memory. Very large files can fail on phones with little free memory; a computer copes better.
