Drop AZW3 (KF8) files onto the box above, or click it to choose them. ToAny reads the file's contents to detect the type, so a wrong extension does not matter.
Press Convert. There is nothing else to set. The work happens in this tab.
Save the MD, or download everything as one ZIP if you converted several files.
The AZW3 to MD converter is part of this page and runs inside your browser. Your e-books are never sent to ToAny or to anyone else.
Nothing has to travel to a server and back, so the conversion starts the moment you press Convert, even on a slow connection.
No sign-up, no email address and no watermark. Add several files and download them together as a ZIP.
AZW3 is only opened by Kindle devices and apps. Markdown is plain text that stays readable and is easy to keep in version control. AZW3 is at home in books on Kindle; MD is the usual choice for READMEs, notes and documentation.
Both the older Mobi format and the newer KF8 (AZW3) are read, with the chapters in order and the pictures embedded; a book bought from the Kindle store with Amazon copy protection (DRM) is refused because its text cannot be read.

AZW3 converterMarkdown is plain text with a few symbols for headings, lists, links and emphasis. It is readable as-is and converts cleanly to HTML, which is why developers and note-takers favour it.

Yes. Files up to 150 MB are accepted; a larger one is refused with a message. Beyond that the limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded; a computer copes with large files better than a phone.
