About RPM
An .rpm is the package format of Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS and SUSE. It combines a header describing the package with a compressed cpio archive of the files, and usually carries a signature. Opening one shows its files without installing it.
RPM is a Linux installation package that Windows and macOS cannot install. RPM is what Red Hat and SUSE based systems install with rpm and dnf.
