About ZST
A .zst file is a single file compressed with Zstandard, a fast modern algorithm standardised as RFC 8878. It holds one file and no folders, so it is usually combined with TAR. Linux distributions, databases and backup tools have adopted it.
ZST holds one file only, and many desktop archive tools cannot open it. ZST compresses and decompresses very quickly.
