About LZH
LHA, written by Haruyasu Yoshizaki as LHarc in 1988, was one of the most widely used archive formats in Japan and on the Amiga. Self-extracting LZH files circulated on bulletin boards in the 1990s. Current operating systems do not open it themselves.
LZH is a retro format that current operating systems cannot open. LZH is only useful for tools that still require it.
