About TAR.LZMA
A .tar.lzma is a TAR archive compressed with the original LZMA algorithm from 7-Zip, in the stand-alone .lzma file layout. XZ, which uses the improved LZMA2, replaced it, so you meet these files mainly in older software distributions.
TAR.LZMA is obsolete and most archive tools no longer offer it. TAR.LZMA is only needed by software that still asks for it.
