CSV carries no formatting, formulas or multiple sheets, and Excel often misreads its dates and encodings. JSONL can be streamed and appended to one record at a time. CSV is at home in moving tabular data between systems; JSONL is the usual choice for training data, logs and record streams processed line by line.
One CSV can produce several JSONL files (one record per line); when it does, they are offered together as a ZIP download.
Each record is written on its own line with no enclosing array. A workbook or database with several tables gives one file per table.
CSV is a table written as text: one row per line, values separated by commas. Every spreadsheet and database can import and export it, but it holds one sheet only and no formatting, formulas or data types.

The values are kept. Anything JSONL has no way to express, such as formatting, formulas or nesting, is simplified or left out.

Yes. Data files up to 300 MB are accepted; a larger file is refused with a message. Beyond that the limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded; a computer copes with large files better than a phone.
