TSV is less widely recognised by double-click than CSV or XLSX. ODS is an open standard that LibreOffice uses natively. TSV is at home in tabular data whose values contain commas; ODS is the usual choice for spreadsheets in open-source office suites.
Numbers and true/false in the cells become real spreadsheet values rather than text, and the data lands on one sheet named Sheet1.
TSV is the same idea as CSV with tabs between values, which avoids quoting problems when the data itself contains commas. It is common in scientific and export tooling.
