Drop MOBI files onto the box above, or click it to choose them. ToAny reads the file's contents to detect the type, so a wrong extension does not matter.
Press Convert. There is nothing else to set. The work happens in this tab.
Save the TXT, or download everything as one ZIP if you converted several files.
The MOBI to TXT converter is part of this page and runs inside your browser. Your e-books are never sent to ToAny or to anyone else.
Nothing has to travel to a server and back, so the conversion starts the moment you press Convert, even on a slow connection.
No sign-up, no email address and no watermark. Add several files and download them together as a ZIP.
MOBI is no longer accepted by Send to Kindle and is not opened by other e-readers. Plain text opens on every device and is easy to search or paste elsewhere. MOBI is at home in Kindles too old for newer formats; TXT is the usual choice for notes, logs and text that must be read by anything.
Both the older Mobi format and the newer KF8 (AZW3) are read, with the chapters in order and the pictures embedded; a book bought from the Kindle store with Amazon copy protection (DRM) is refused because its text cannot be read.

MOBI converterA TXT file is characters and nothing else: no fonts, no images, no layout. That makes it the most portable document there is, and the easiest to search, diff or feed into another program.

The steps are the same everywhere because ToAny runs in the web browser: open this page in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, add the MOBI file, press Convert and save the TXT. There is nothing to install.
Yes. Files up to 150 MB are accepted; a larger one is refused with a message. Beyond that the limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded; a computer copes with large files better than a phone.
