JSON is hard to read in bulk and cannot be opened as a table without flattening. Feather keeps column types and loads fast in pandas and R. JSON is at home in APIs and data exchanged between programs; FEATHER is the usual choice for quickly saving a data frame between Python and R sessions.
One JSON can produce several FEATHER files; when it does, they are offered together as a ZIP download.
Each column gets one type chosen from all of its values: a column is numeric only if every non-empty cell is a number, and anything mixed, or a value such as a ZIP code with a leading zero, stays text. A workbook with several sheets gives one file per sheet.
JSON represents data as nested objects and lists in plain text. It is the default language of web APIs. Unlike a spreadsheet it can be nested to any depth, which is also why turning it into rows and columns takes a decision about how to flatten it.

JSON converterFeather was created to exchange data frames between Python and R quickly. Version 2 is the Apache Arrow file format with a different name, version 1 an earlier, simpler layout. It stores column types exactly and reads much faster than CSV.

No. The JSON to FEATHER conversion runs inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The file is not sent to ToAny or to anyone else.
The values are kept. Anything FEATHER has no way to express, such as formatting, formulas or nesting, is simplified or left out.

The steps are the same everywhere because ToAny runs in the web browser: open this page in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, add the JSON file, press Convert and save the FEATHER. There is nothing to install.
Yes. Data files up to 300 MB are accepted; a larger file is refused with a message. Beyond that the limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded; a computer copes with large files better than a phone.
