How to convert SVG to TIFF

  1. Add your SVG graphics

Drop SVG files onto the box above, or click it to choose them. ToAny reads the file's contents to detect the type, so a wrong extension does not matter.

  2. TIFF is already chosen

Press Convert. Open Options first if you want to change the defaults. The work happens in this tab.

  3. Download

Save the TIFF, or download everything as one ZIP if you converted several files.

Why ToAny

  • Private by construction

The SVG to TIFF converter is part of this page and runs inside your browser. Your graphics are never sent to ToAny or to anyone else.

  • No upload, no queue

Nothing has to travel to a server and back, so the conversion starts the moment you press Convert, even on a slow connection.

  • Free, without an account

No sign-up, no email address and no watermark. Add several files and download them together as a ZIP.

SVG to TIFF: what to expect

SVG is refused by most social networks, marketplaces and document editors. TIFF keeps full quality and is what print shops and archives ask for. SVG is at home in logos, icons and illustrations that must scale; TIFF is the usual choice for scans, print production and archiving.

TIFF holds a single still image, so an animated SVG does not stay animated. The defaults suit most files. Under Options you can resize the result and set the scale the vector is rendered at.

The SVG is drawn at its own width and height (taken from its viewBox if it has no size) times the scale set under Options, scaled down if that would pass 16,384 pixels a side or 64 megapixels. Scripts inside the SVG never run and files it links to are not fetched, so text in a font the SVG does not embed is drawn in a fallback font.

SVG vs TIFF

SVG

SVG vector

SVG describes an image as shapes and text rather than pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. It is ideal for logos and icons. Social networks, marketplaces and most office software will not accept it, which is when a PNG or JPG copy is needed.

Opens in Every browser and vector editor; many upload forms and office apps reject it

TIFF image

TIFF is the workhorse of scanning, publishing and archiving. It keeps full quality, can hold several pages and carries rich metadata, but files are large and browsers other than Safari will not display it.

Opens in Photo editors, scanners and print software; Safari is the only major browser that displays it

Questions

Are my graphics uploaded anywhere?

No. The SVG to TIFF conversion runs inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The file is not sent to ToAny or to anyone else.

Does converting SVG to TIFF reduce quality?

TIFF stores the rendered pixels exactly. The SVG itself is drawn as pixels first, so the result no longer scales without blur; set the scale under Options if you need it larger.

Can I convert several SVG files at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like, convert them together and download each result or all of them as one ZIP.

How do I convert SVG to TIFF on Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android?

The steps are the same everywhere because ToAny runs in the web browser: open this page in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, add the SVG file, press Convert and save the TIFF. There is nothing to install.

Is there a file size limit?

An SVG is a small text file, so its size is not the limit: it is drawn at its own dimensions times the scale you set, and scaled down to stay within 16,384 pixels a side and 64 megapixels. Beyond that the limit is your device's memory, since nothing is uploaded; a computer copes with large files better than a phone.
